Spider Medicine

I made friends with this spider in my garden today, and am reminded of what spider has to teach us.
Ted Andrews in his book, Animal Speak tells us that
the keynote is Creativity and the Weaving of Fate. Spider teaches us to maintain a balance ~ between past & future, physical & spiritual, male & female. Everything we do now is weaving what we will encounter in the future.
Spider reminds us that the world is woven around us, and that we are the writers of our own destiny weaving it like a web by our thoughts, feelings & actions.
Spider is also a symbol of creative power, and through polarity & balance, creativity is stimulated.
Spiders are also very agile, and are experts at walking threads. Lore talks of those that have learned to walk the threads between worlds, waking & sleeping, physical & spiritual, life & death.

I know Spider is one of my totems. I was scared of them as a kid, and now am friends with them. They appear to me often, and I resonate with their message.
