School mentality

It is interesting to observe all of the seminars, coaches and workshops promoted for learning every little thing. I believe it is the programming learned in school to constantly be looking for some teacher or authority outside of yourself.

There is a seminar for "learning" how to be happy, coaches to "teach" you how to eat raw food, you can hire someone to help you lose weight, learn how to meditate...maybe there should be a workshop to help us learn how to get out of bed in the morning!

Maybe it is just me, but I manage to eat raw food, stay slim & healthy, meditate, and be happy withour hiring anyone! I just DECIDED.

I see it in my homeschooled kids that they tend to research online, trust themselves and just do it! It does not occur to them to go to school and find someone to teach them every little thing. There is abundant info inside yourself if you just get quiet. There is an abundance of free info online and at the library. It is really not that advanced, or expensive!
